The KSE-100 index continues its bearish momentum from yesterday as the index lost 192.81pts (0.40%). Trading initiated on a positive note as the index accumulated 34.86pts. However, the Pakistan bourse was unable to maintain the momentum on the back of negative economic news. The dollar reached a new high, in the last 10 months, against the rupee as the country exchange reserves reached a historical high of $27.4 billion due to an influx of $2.75bn through Special Drawing Rights (SDR) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The intraday trading saw a high of 47,916.76, and a low of 47,617.93, as the index closed at 47,635. The all shares volume stood at 384mln(-3%DOD). We anticipate the volumes to remain lackluster before any dominant trend emerges. The volume leaders for today were WTL(38mln), ANL(33mln), GGL(22mln),FNEL(18mln) and KOSM(13mln).
