The KSE 100 index observed high volatility today. The index open with enthusiasm accumulating 21.82 pts, however, the early momentum came to a halt, as the key index fell to 46,955. The bearish trend was observed largely due to the lockdown rumor, resulting in a panic selling situation, which was later addressed by Asad Umar. Later during the session market was able to recover from the hit it took earlier. Despite the recovery, the market observed negative sentiment during today’s session. The All-share index stood at 376mn(3%/DOD), depicting investor caution towards trading in such a volatile situation. The intraday trading session saw a high of 47,353.91 and a low of 46,955.10, where the index closed at 47,312.33.
